This position is located at Alexander Correctional Institution in Alexander County, NC.
Alexander Correctional Institution is a close/minimum custody male facility.
This position manages and performs all aspects of personnel.
Area of responsibilities include overseeing the recruitment process for new hires, promotions, lateral transfers, etc.
Handles separations and leave of absences to include FMLA, Short Term Disability, Extended Illness, and Workers Compensation.
Position will ensure leave, holidays and benefits exhaustion is in accordance with policy.
Position will be responsible for evaluation of applicable benefits, leave balances, holidays due and proper use of leave types.
Position must provide technical support to the field and Departmental personnel on leave and benefit pplicies, as well as time and leave functions in Beacon/SAP as these apply to leave of absence, leave without pay, separations and benefits (included Family Medical Leave, Family Illness Leave, Voluntary Shared Leave, Military, Disability, Workers' Comp).
Serves as the point of contact for facility worker's compensation claims which includes completing and submitting all claims in a timely manner to Third Party Administrator and ensures that the incident is captured on the OSHA Log/Summary.
Responsible for overseeing the time entry process for all full time staff and monitoring time reports/payroll.
Works directly with time keepers to ensure time entry completion and policy compliance.
Processes requests for ADA and handles Voluntary Shared Leave requests.
Processes various types of personnel actions.
Oversees file maintenance of personnel files.

Demonstrated or documented prior experience in recruitment, employment processing, and/or hiring experience.
Demonstrated or documented experience interpreting, applying, and communicating a variety of policies, procedures, and regulations.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Associate s degree, typically in Human Resources from an appropriately accredited institution or relevant field and no years of experience required; or High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and 2 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
